In 1937, Mr. Edgar D. Fletcher started this funeral home in its present location. Mr. Fletcher needed a partner after World War II, and he asked Ralph Crowe, Sr. to join him. In the mid '50s, Robert Fields, Jr., age 15 at the time, came to work. During this time, funeral homes provided ambulance service as well as insurance and, of course, funeral service. In the mid '70s, Ralph Crowe, Jr. joined the staff, and a few years later, Bob Fields decided to come home. Over the years, there have been many improvements and innovations. We strive to provide a modern facility but still retain the homelike atmosphere we think families prefer. We are committed to continuing our legacy in providing the same personal service that our teachers and mentors taught us.
