Wayne Edward Salter, 74, passed away on October 5, 2022 at Doctors hospital in Augusta, GA following a brief illness.

He was born November 7, 1947 in Millen, GA to William Edward Salter and Earline Mock Salter. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam War.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00pm at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday. October 12, 2022 at Oak Hill Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by parents, sister, Cheryl Salter Tice and nephew, Ricky Goforth.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Bonnie and three children, Robin Earlene Salter Rainey (Chris) of Garfield, Paul Todd Salter (Shaydia) of Johnson City, TN and Maria Adele Salter of Philadelphia, PA, two grandchildren, Thomas Edward Rainey and Emma Schuurnan, his brother, William L. Salter (Jane) of Charlotte, NC,  and five grandnephews, Corey Michael Goforth, Lance Tyler Goforth, Robert Bruce Dixon III, Benjamin Daniel Dixon, and Aaron Matthew Dixon.
