Mr. Watson W. Rocker, age 87, died Friday, July 1, 2011 at his residence.

He was born in Candler County, retired Bank President for the Bank of Millen after forty years, past chairman of the Jenkins County School Board for thirty years, and had been Interim School Superintendent. He was a member of the Jenkins County Library Board, past President of the Millen Rotary Club, Jenkins County Hospital Administrator, and a Deacon of the Millen Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne King Rocker.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday at the Millen Baptist Church with the Rev. David Wheeler and Dr. Maurice Crowder officiating. Entombment will follow in the Millen Cemetery.

Survivors include his three sons, King (Beth) Rocker, Kirk (Judy) Rocker, and Burt (Latrelle) Rocker all of Millen; two sisters, Evelyn Hardee of Norfolk, VA and Earlene Hartley of Metter; three brothers, Hardwick Rocker of Macon, Barney Rocker of Hinesville, and Robbie Rocker of Millen; six grandchildren, Matthew Rocker, Kathryn Rocker, Mark Rocker, Cameron Rocker, Johnna Rocker, and Maresa Peebles; and special care giver, Claudia Jordan.

Active Pallbearers will be Dwayne Rocker, Lamar Rocker, Rocker Hartley, Tommy Pillings, Jimmy Rocker, F. A. Black, John B. Gay, Johnny Johnson, and A. V. Rocker.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Millen Rotary Club and John Cleve Newton, Robert McMillan, Ernest Thorne, Ralph Crowe, and John W. Newton.
