Mr. Willie Lewis Gay, Sr., 77, died Saturday, October 27, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Jenkins County, was a veteran of the U. S. Army, retired from the Natural Resources Conservation Service and a farmer, and was a Deacon and Secretary of the Elam Baptist Church. He was also a member of the South Jenkins County Fire Department.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Monday at the Elam Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Farmer and Dr. Maurice Crowder officiating. Burial will follow in the Elam Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Clifton Gay; a son, Will (Pansy) Gay, Jr. of Millen; daughter, Patti (Wesley) Hendley of Twin City; 4 grandchildren, Will Gay III, Emily Gay, Josh Hendley, and Ann Marie Hendley.
Active Pallbearers will be Anthony Cowart, Don Burke, Anthony Martin, Mitchell Johnson, John Roy Clifton, Dudley Clifton, and Bill Gainey.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Elam Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home of Millen.
