Vivian Moore Bryant, age 70, passed away May 17, 2025 at Wellstar MCG Hospital in Augusta, GA with family at her bedside.  And suddenly the gates of heaven opened up. Then there was no more pain and suffering. Only joy, peace and comfort. Hallelujah. Amen.

Vivian had been employed with Jockey International for many years before moving to Sumter, S.C. where she was a coder at Tuomey Hospital.  While living in South Carolina, she had the honor of becoming Godmother to two wonderful children who lived next door.  Later, she was blessed with three grandchildren whom she had the pleasure of watching grow up.  They were blessings to her heart.

Vivian was preceded in death by her brothers, Steve Garvin and Ray Garvin; her son, Michael Shane Moore; her father, Cleveland Garvin and her mother, Barnetta Garvin.

She leaves behind her brother, Roy Garvin (Mary Margaret); her sisters, Faye Long (Wayne), Joyce Garvin and Paula Currington; three grandchildren, Michael Evan Moore, Shane Tyler Moore, and Lillian Grace Moore; her two godchildren, Megan Scurry Lane and Dylan Scurry; and god-grandchild, Willow Clark.  She was also blessed with many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Michael Evan Moore, Shane Tyler Moore, Ronald Waye, David Waye, Chris Crenshaw, Dylan Scurry and Lance Garvin.

Her family wishes to extend their gratitude to her community that went above and beyond to extend their help to her when there was a need.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at West Millen Baptist Church with the Reverend Bob Crosby officiating.  Burial will follow at Paynes Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00– 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
