Obituary

Virginia Rosser McBride, 86, a long-time resident of Millen, died Monday, October 5, 2015 at Pruitt Health—Bethany after a short illness.

Virginia worked as a self-employed accountant in Millen until her retirement. Very active in her community, she was a member of the Millen Baptist Church, the Millen Garden Club, Friends of Magnolia Springs State Park, and served as treasurer of the Jenkins County Historical Society.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edward T. McBride; daughter, Caroline Belt Pitts; son, Stephen Terrell McBride; father, Clarence C. Rosser, Sr.; mother, Caroline Jones Rosser; and brother, Clarence C. Rosser, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Clarence "Bubbie" (Cindy) Belt of Millen, GA; Lauree (Robert) Bunderson of Berthoud, CO; Kenneth (Kathie) McBride of Birmingham, AL; and Joey (Cindy) McBride of Millen, GA; son-in-law, Walter T. "Bubba" Pitts, III, of Valona, GA; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by close friends, Sarah Humphrey and Nancy Head.

A private service for the family will be held at a later date.
