Mrs. Vara Edwards Boone Mock, 89, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at her residence in Kite.

She was born in Jenkins County, a retired nutritionist for the Jockey International Cafeteria and was a member of Big Horse Creek Baptist Church.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 p. m. Saturday at Big Horse Creek Cemetery with Revs. Ray Jenkins and Emory Fennell officiating. Visitation will one hour prior at the grave.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Long of Kite, a son, Andy Boone of Millen, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren
