Sardis, GA- Timothy L. Murray, 46, died Sunday, May 8, 2011.
He was born in Jenkins County, a retired construction worker, and a member of Sardis Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Douglas "Jerry" Murray.

Graveside services will be Thursday at 11:00 am at the Sardis Baptist Cemetery.

Survivors include his two sons, Shane Murray of Sardis and Lawton Williams of Waynesboro; a daughter, Jessica Murray of Perkins; mother and step-father, Betty (Ronald) Alexander of Perkins; a sister, Gerri Ann (Jeff) Wood of Kahoka, MO; a brother, Hugh Douglas Murray of Sardis; two step-sisters, Wendy (John) Powell of Evans and Candy (Mark) Gresham of Waynesboro; a step-bother, Derek (Terri) Alexander; former wife, Sherry Murray of Perkins; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be uncles.

Visitation will follow the service Thursday.
