Thomas "Tommy" Burke, 74, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011.
He was born in Jenkins County, a retired painter, and a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Evelyn Burke, a sister, Norma Garvin, a son, Jerry Burke, and a brother, C. O. Burke.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home with Rev. David Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Perkins Burke; 5 sons, Danny Burke, and Tommy Burke Jr. of Millen, Michael Burke of Canoochee, Jimmy Bragg of Granger, NC, and David Bragg of Millen; 4 daughters, Diane Clayton of Portal, Susan Hall, and Barbara Davis of Millen, and Kathy Weber of Augusta; a sister, Doris B. Odom of Wellford, SC; and several grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
