Thomas L. Stephens Jr. (Tommy), 84, enter his heavenly home the morning of November 27, 2024, after a short time on hospice.  Born in Millen, Georgia on June 29, 1940, where he grew up and later returned in his retirement.  He was preceded in death by wife Wanda Hawkins Stephens, his parents Thomas and Louise Stephens Sr., and his sisters Doris Pendergrass and Lois Parker, and an infant daughter, Amy Ruth Stephens.

Tommy married the love of his life, Wanda, on December 1, 1979.  Tommy was a long-haul truck driver, who retired on disability in the 90's and became a stay at home dad to his youngest child.  He had a soft spot for kids, dogs, and anyone in need. Tommy was a playful father and grandfather.  He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, but most importantly he loved Jesus.  He loved to attend church with his church family, and serve in any manner he could throughout the years.

He is survived by his sons Glen (Sheila) Stephens of Lincoln, AL, Rusty Stephens of Millen, daughter Stacie (Josh) Burch of Midville, seven grandchildren Shelly Smith (Thomas), Dustin Stephens, Preston Stephens, Logan Stephens, Judson Burch, Natalie Burch, Kyle and a great grandson Landon Smith.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Friday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday at Long Branch Church of God. Burial will follow at the Millen Cemetery.
