Obituary

Terry Parker Williams, Sr. ,74, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 3, 1950, in Millen, Georgia, Terry lived a life marked by dedication, generosity, and love. He graduated from Jenkins County High School and was a member of West Millen Baptist Church.

A lifelong dairy farmer, Terry's hard work and passion for agriculture were central to his identity. After retiring, he continued to share his expertise by working with Coble Dairy for several years. Beyond his professional life, Terry found joy in the simple pleasures of gardening, fishing, and hunting. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Terry's life was characterized by his selflessness and his willingness to put the needs of others before his own. His generosity and loving nature left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He was a devoted husband to Debbie Holmes Williams, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage. Together, they raised two loving children, Terry P. Williams, Jr. (Meghan) and Ashley W. Powell (Jonathan), who blessed them with two cherished grandchildren, Rylee L. Cook and Polli Renn Powell.

Terry is also survived by his siblings: Arnold Williams (Sandra) of Augusta, Betty Crosby (Richard) of Yorba Linda, CA, Kenneth (Kenny) Williams (Julie) of Millen, Lorene Blackburn (Raymond) of Millen, and Gloria Martin (Anthony) of Millen. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and siblings Peggy Becton, L.C. Williams, Jr., Roy Williams, Robert Williams, Charles Williams, and W.T. Williams.

Terry's memory will live on through his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Visitation will be held at the home of Terry and Debbie, located at 625 Charlie Jones Road, Millen, Georgia 30442, on Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Services will be held Monday, July 15, 2024, at 11 a.m. at West Millen Baptist Church, with graveside services following immediately. Reverend Bob Crosby and Reverend Cam Wiggins will officiate.
