Mrs. Susie Brinson Joyner "Nannie" age 90, died Monday, February 29,2016 at her residence.

Her life began in Jenkins County on January 22, 1926, and remained here her entire life. During her ninety years, she retired from Jockey International, owned and operated Fairfield Supper Club, and opened S & S Grocery with her family, where she was in charge. It was here she cooked too many meals to count, and fed just as many people. You did not leave her store until you ate a slice of cake or pie. No one went hungry around her! She also loved to talk to her brothers and sisters, whom she loved dearly. She is a member of Ogeechee Freewill Baptist Church.


Mrs. Joyner was preceded in death by her husband, G. Ezra Joyner, son, Leslie Ezra Joyner, granddaughter, Heidi Markovcic Johnson, and great granddaughter, Mallory Olivia Johnson.


Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m., Tuesday until 3:00 p.m. Funeral Services will start at 3:00 p.m. Ogeechee Freewill Baptist Church with burial to following in the Bennett Family Cemetery. Reverend Andy Allen and Reverend Butch Taylor are officiating.


Survivors include her daughter, Shirley (Jesse) Johnson; grandchildren, Randy and Ronnie (Racheal) Johnson and Amy Joyner; three great grandsons, Marcus (Kacey), Blake and Kade Johnson; two great-great grandsons, Bentley and Cason, and one great-great granddaughter, Sophie.

Active Pallbearers will be grandchildren, great grandsons, and great nephew, Taylor Brinson.
