Starke Clu Sumner, age 61, of 1585 Millen Hiltonia Road, died Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at his residence.

He was born in Jenkins County and attended Jenkins County High School. He drove his memorable Dodge Charger with the iconic "Dukes of Hazard" themed horn. He was a paint and body technician the majority of his life. His precision and attention to detail was second to none and his love for restoring classic vehicles was grand. Clu also had a strong love for the history of his family and he was a great friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Gail Sumner; father, Wendell Sumner and sister, Debra Gail S. Sommers.

Survivors include his daughter, Christian Joelle (Sumner) Hutto and her husband Wayne Hutto; grandchildren, Karson Archer and Harper Kendall of Millen and nephews, Lloyd Sommers and Ryan Sommers of Savannah.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Green Fork Baptist Church. Visitation for family and friends will be at 1:00 pm until the time of service.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
