Herndon, Ga. – Mrs. Sarah Black Johnson, age 101, died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Pruitt Bethany.
She was born in Emanuel County, was a retired convenience store owner, and was a member of the Fair Haven United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, James Matthew Johnson.
Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 a. m. until 11:00 a. m. at Fair Haven United Methodist Church with services beginning at 11:00 a. m. Rev. Larry Bird officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Larry (Art) Johnson and Math (Debbie) Johnson of Millen; 4 grandchildren, Jay Johnson of Millen; Marah Johnson of Evans, Megan Johnson (Chris) Oliver of Millen, and Nathan Johnson of Richmond Hill; 2 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Betty Black of Millen; and several nieces and nephews.
Active Pallbearers will be nephews.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Fair Haven United Methodist Women.
