Mrs. Vivian Lane Davis, age 91, died Sunday, April 25, 2021 at her residence.
She was born in Millen, Ga and was a retired educator in the Jenkins County School System. She was a member of the Millen United Methodist Church where she attended and taught the Beulah Garner Sunday School Class. She was the President of the Morning Sunshine Circle for thirty years and dearly loved her church circle friends. Mrs Davis was a member of the Millen Woman's Club, the Camelia Garden Club, and the Jenkins County Retired Teacher's Association. She was also a representative on the Silver Haired Legislature. She lived her life in devoted service to her family, her church, and her community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, M.E. Davis, her brother Hugh F. Lane, and her sister-in-law, Ann Henshaw.
The memorial service will be Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the Millen United Methodist Church at 2:00pm. Visitation will be at 1:00pm in the Methodist Church Parlor, prior to the service.
Her family includes her son, Marvis Edwin Davis, Jr. (Debbie Davis), her daughter, Elaine Davis Williams, and her beloved grandchildren Emily Williams, Eric Williams, (Leslie Stauss), and Jordan Davis Gocel (James Gocel). She has four great-grandchildren, Selah, Grace, Knox, and Soren Gocel, as well as many nieces, nephews, and Lane family cousins.
