After a brief illness, Mrs. Sara Helen Kurley Harris, 90, of Millen, GA went into the loving arms of her Savior and Lord on Tuesday night January 6, 2026, at Ogeechee Area Hospice, Statesboro, GA.

Mrs. Harris was born in Sardis, GA and grew up in Millen, GA.  After graduating as one of the 1st Senior Class members of 1953 in the newly built Jenkins County High School, she pursued a career with Bell South and finally retired from AT&T Call Center in Augusta, GA.  After retirement, she joined the Millen Garden Club for a brief time and was a very active member of the Millen United Methodist Church until health problems caused her and her husband to stop attending.  They were both members of the Beulah Garner Sunday School class.  She also assisted her husband with the beautiful flower gardens around the house.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Harris Seigler (Tommy) of Dearing, GA; a son, Edison G. Harris, Jr. of Millen, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer (Titus) Waters, Adam (Leisa) Harris, Bo (Tiffany) Harris, Catie Chandler and Heather (Calvin) Smith; great-grandchildren, Beckett Waters, Sophia Harris, Zeke Chandler, Lizzie and Dominick Smith; a wonderful sister, Patricia Newsome of Thomson, GA and several nephews and nieces.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 3:00 pm at Millen Cemetery.
