Mr. Robert Lewis Pierce, Sr. Age 85, went to be with his heavenly father on Friday at Pruitthealth-Bethany Nursing Home. He was a lifelong resident of Millen. He was a retired insurance underwriter, an avid horseman, outdoorsman, and member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. & Mrs. Lamar Pierce, brother, L. M. Pierce, sisters, Eleene Burke, Emma Lee Godbee, Edith Meeks, & Claudine Williams and wife, Marion Mascola Pierce.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Lewis (Bert) Pierce of Statesboro, GA, and Thomas Lamar Pierce of Fayettville, GA: two grandsons, Robert Lewis (Bo) Pierce, III of St. Simons, GA & Zachary Pierce of Fayetteville, GA and a granddaughter , Elizabeth Pierce of Fayetteville, GA and special friend, Becky Pierce of Fayetteville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be held on Monday, April 16 ^th at 10AM until 11AM at Oak Hill Baptist Church followed by the funeral services at 11AM with Dr. Jamie Archer officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Big Horse Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
