Mr. Preston "Brother" Taylor, Jr., 77, died peacefully surrounded by his family, Friday, September 19, 2014 at G. R. U. Medical Center in Augusta.
He was born in Jenkins County, co-owner of Taylor Motors, member of the Four Points Hunting Club, and Deep Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as NASCAR Racing and was a Georgia Bulldog football fan.
He was preceded in death by his infant children, Lanell Taylor, William Donald Taylor and great grandson, Brandon McKenzie.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 pm Monday at Deep Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Revs. Butch Taylor and Leroy Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Rose Jenkins Taylor; 2 daughters, Teresa Ellison of Sylvania and Tina (Richard) Lane of Millen; a brother, Aaron "Buck" (Donna) Taylor of Millen; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Wilson, Angie Lane, Vanessa Pierce, Phillip Kent, Haley Anderson, Megan Lane, and Bryce Lane; and 12 great grandchildren.
Active Pallbearers will be Daniel Smith, Jay Cannady, Charlie Waters, Howdy McTeer, Hal Clark, and Larry Barron.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
