Pauline Edith Lanier, age 82, died Friday, January 20, 2012 at her University Hospital.

She was born in Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada, retired from Georgia DFACS after 20 years in 2009. She was also a member of the Elam Baptist Church.
She loved helping people, fishing, cooking, being around loved ones and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Lanier Sr.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, at the Elam Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include her 2 daughters, Sandra L. McKinney of Glastonbury, CT and Brenda L. Sova of Wallingford, CT; 2 sons, William C. Lanier, Jr. of Statesboro and David S. Lanier of Millen; her grandchildren, Kayla Mayes, Brittany Stanley, Calvin Lanier, Caitlyn and Christopher Dallas, Matthew McKinney and Madison Lanier and a great grandchild, Chloe Mayes.

Pallbearers will be Drew Hickman, Billy Clifton, Calvin Lanier, Anthony Pikor, and Herman Mingledorff.

Visitation will be 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
