Mr. Paul Minus Clarke, age 85, died Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Bethany Nursing Center.

He was born in Jenkins County, a retired machinist for the Graniteville Co., a member and Deacon of West Millen Baptist Church and member of the Woodmen of the World.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p. m. Wednesday at West Millen Baptist Church with Revs. Andy Allen and Franklin Sasser officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Sallie Bennett Clarke; a daughter, Debra Jean Clarke of Millen; 3 sons, Bennie Paul (Sherry) Clarke of Belvedere, SC, Chris (Kim) Clarke of Martinez, and Louis Matthew (Carmen) Clarke of Evans; 3 sisters, Sallie Syms of Waynesboro, Mary Godbee of Girard, and Gladys Cafferty of Murphreesboro, TN; 2 brothers, Jimmy Clarke and Bobby (Alice) Clarke both of Augusta; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be Steve Dent, Keith Evans, Dean DeLaigle, Vinson DeLaigle, Jasper Godbee, and Jim Comstock.

Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of West Millen Baptist Church and the Men's Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. at the Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
