Patricia "Pattie" Ann McLeod, age 64, passed away on April 7, 2026. She was born on January 2, 1962 and spent her life in Millen, Georgia. Later in life, she made her home in Midville, Georgia with her husband and two sons, where she built strong relationships and lasting ties within her community.
Pattie was the beloved wife of the late Edsel "Ricky" McLeod. She was a devoted mother to her sons, Christopher Brandon McLeod and the late Edsel Ricky McLeod Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Katherine Johnson Bennett and Roosevelt "Buddy" Bennett, both of Millen.
Pattie is survived by her brother, Stacey (Jen) Bennett of Millen; her brother-in-law, Keith (Connie) McLeod of Millen; and was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Lynn McLeod Johnson.
She was a loving grandmother to Natalie and Rowland McLeod of Louisville and River, Hance, and Callie Ann McLeod of Millen.
She also leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews, including Amber (TJ) Greenway of Midville; Brylie, Brodie, Brinlee, and Braelynn Greenway of Midville; and Allen Bennett of Millen. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Derek McLeod.
Pattie was retired from the Jenkins County Board of Education and Jockey International. She was a talented pianist who faithfully served many churches throughout her community for many years. She found great joy in playing the piano and singing and her love for music touched countless lives.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, April 10, 2026 at Millen Cemetery with the Reverend Butch Taylor and David Barron officiating. Special music will be provided by her nephew, Allen Bennett, who will sing "Amazing Grace" and "Thy Will Be Done" in her memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Deep Creek Baptist Church, Rosemary Baptist Church, or Ogeechee Free Will Baptist Church.
Pattie will be remembered for her joyful spirit, her gift of music and the deep love she had for her family, friends, and church family. She cherished every moment spent with those she loved most.
