Obituary

Mrs. Opal Lanier Hall, age 88, died Friday, June 02, 2017 at Ogeechee Area Hospice.

She was born in Jenkins County, a retired seamstress for Jockey International, and was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.


She was preceded in death by her husband L. B. Hall and son, David Luther Hall; parents, Grady and Susie Oglesby Lanier; step-mother, Mable Lanier; sisters, Fannie Pearl Lanier, Ella Lanier Johnson; brothers, Reamer Lanier and James Grady Lanier.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Pulliam officiating with burial to follow in the Hebron Cemetery in Garfield.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Bazemore (Palmer) of Sylvania, and a son, Larry Hall of Garfield; a sister, Judy Phillips (Jimmy); 8 grandchildren, Beth Hall, Amy Bazemore, Angie Hall (Trent), Tammy Cauley, Bart Hall, Ronnie Bazemore (Holly), Joseph Bazemore, and Pablo Bazemore; and great grandchildren, Cassie Bazemore, Ivey Bazemore, Scout Hall, Paige Cauley, and Dylan Cauley; and several nieces and nephews.

Active Pallbearers will be Steve Hendley, Clay Clark, Ronnie Bazemore, Zann Lanier, Jeffrey Hall, and Scott Phillips.
