Nina Hester Mewbourne, age 86, of Salisbury went to be with the Lord on Thursday July 12, 2012 at Rowan Regional Medical Center.

She was born Wednesday February 25, 1926 in Emmanuel County, GA, to the late Annie Lee Hewitt Hall and Arley Hester.

Ms. Mewbourne attended the Emmanuel County Schools and was a homemaker and seamstress.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Joe Mewbourne, daughter Faye Mewbourne Bray and two brothers Randolph Hester and Lewis Hall, Jr. (Mann).

Left to cherish her memories include a son Anthony Joseph Mewbourne of Lincolnton; daughters Janice Souther of Spencer, Marie McCormick (John) of Georgia and JoAnn Andrews of Salisbury; sisters Dorothy Mae Thompson (Hubert) of Georgia and Syble Hutchinson of Georgia; brother Charlie Franklin (Boy Hall) of Soperton, GA ; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
