Mrs. Myra Saxon Herrington, 87, of Perkins entered into rest on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
Mrs. Herrington was a native of Screven County, was a homemaker, member of Green Fork Baptist Church and was a retired director of the Jenkins County Senior Citizens Center.
She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and loved having company. She was an excellent seamstress who could make anything and did, including her own curtains. She was much loved and will be greatly missed "
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm Thursday at the church social hall.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday at Green Fork Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Dann officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Herrington, Sr., grandson Paul Herrington, and great granddaughter, Grace Dudley.
She is survived by her; daughter, Gail H. (Lewis) Todd; two sons, John T. (Paula) Herrington, Jr. and Dwayne (Tracey) Herrington; grandchildren, Celissa H Knight (Bill), John T. (Anna) Herrington III, Nicolette Thompson, Travis Motes (Kathryn), J.R. Schwonke (Tricia), Skylar Bragg (Justin), and Jessie Aaron (Wesley) and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Frankie Adams, of Savannah and Jean Davenport of Athens and special sister-in-law, Mary Ann Saxon of Perkins.
