Mr. Monroe Johnson, age 96, died Friday, July 22, 2011.
He was born in Emanuel County, a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, a retired farmer, and he was a faithful member and Deacon of Hebron Primitive Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dwight Johnson and wife, Eudine Johnson.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday at the Hebron Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating with burial to follow in the Hebron Cemetery in Garfield.

Survivors include his daughter, Shirley J. Anderson of Statesboro; a son, Waynard T. Johnson of Garfield; a brother, Casey Johnson of Millen; 5 Grandchildren, Angie Cavanah, Mark Allen, Shannon Anderson, Candace Anderson, and Clayton Anderson and 15 great grandchildren.

Active Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
