Miriam Hendley Johnson, age 90, of Millen, GA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2025.  She was born on August 5, 1934 in Jenkins County to the late Grady and Esther Clifton Hendley.

Her career spanned various roles over the years including teaching and property ownership/management.

She was preceded in death by her sons; Winton L. Johnson, Jr., Jay Grady Johnson and William Lee Johnson, granddaughters; Amanda Johnson and Jessica Johnson, and great-granddaughter Madilyn Willingham.

Survivors include her sons; John Alex Johnson and Tracy Alan Johnson (Karen); daughter, Carolyn Fields (Wayne), 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Elam Baptist Church cemetery with the Reverend Tim Fields officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Elam Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 5199 Elam Road, Millen, Ga 30442.
