Minnie Bell Becton Sherrod, 83, died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at University Hospital in Augusta.

She was born in Jenkins County, a homemaker, and a member of West Millen Baptist Church.

Graveside Services will be at 11:00 am Saturday at the Millen Cemetery with the Revs. Steven Adams and Andy Allen officiating.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Turner; 3 sons, J. C. (Patsy) Sherrod, Randy Sherrod, and Eddie Sherrod all of Millen; 3 sisters, Doris Young of Millen, Ruth Williams of Statesboro, and Jean Skinner of Sylvania; 5 brothers, Otis (Jill) Becton of Sylvania, Rudean (Sandy) Becton of Millen, Johnnie (Bonnie) Becton of Millen, Rudolph (Jeanette) Becton of Millen, and Robert (Peggy) Becton of Plum Branch, SC.; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Sherrod, daughter, Diane Burke, and son, Ronnie Sherrod.

Visitation from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Frday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
