Mrs. Mildred Herrington Bell, 93, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Optim Medical Center.

She was born in Jenkins County June 2, 1923, was a homemaker, and had been a member of Green Fork Baptist Church for over 80 years where she held many positions of service.

Miss Mildred was a wife, mother, and grandmother, and a homemaker who loved her Green Fork friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin and sons, Wyndell and Durwin.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Thursday at the Green Fork Baptist Cemetery with Dr. Ray Freeman and Rev. Kevin Farmer officiating.

Survivors include her daughter, Cherdale Cross of Millen; five grandsons, Stephen (Tori) Cross of Wilmington Island, Stacey (Sarah) Cross of Alamogordo, NM, Karlson (Kathy) Bell, Whitney, and Kevan Bell of Millen; three great granddaughters, Katie Lynn and Kara Leigh Bell of Millen and Millie Cross of Wilmington Island; and a daughter-in-law, Becky Bell of Millen.
