Hazelhurst, Ga. – Mr. Melvin Cecil Sharpe, age 64, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011.
He was born in Jenkins County, a retired truck driver, and was a Latter-day Saint.
Funeral Services were held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 11, 2011, at the Crowe-Fields Funeral Home with Presidents Reed Shawcroft and Ray Hester officiating. Burial followed in the Lanier Family Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Lee Sharpe of Grovetown and Dredsel Sharpe of Dixie; two daughters, Monica Sharpe and Tonda Sharpe of Hinesville; five sisters, Mildred Brue of Hazelhurst, Laura Pritchett and Margie Williams of Bainbridge, Melba Golden of Douglas, and Charlene Lamar of Statesboro; three brothers, Moroni Sharpe, Charles Sharpe, and Billy Sharpe all of Hazelhurst; and six grandchildren.
Crowe-Fields Funeral Home of Millen was in charge of arrangements.
