Mr. Melvin R. Sapp, 74, of Perkins, died Sunday, April 1, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Jenkins County, a musician, and a member of Habersham United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Tuesday at the Habersham United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivor include his 2 sons, Eric Sapp of Hephzibah and Roger Sapp of Springfield; four sisters, Joyce Lanier, Velma (Walter) Bragg, and Carolyn (Joe) Law all of Millen and Marilyn (Andy) Welch of Las Vegas,; 4 grandchildren, Mandy Thompson, Lindsey Sapp, Dalton Ray Sapp, and Caitlin Simmons and 2 great grandchildren.
Active Pallbearers will be nephews, Rusty Brantley, Ray Sapp, Jason Williams, Ernest Lanier, Thomas Earl Proctor, Trey Black, and Thomas Kelly.
The family will be at the residence of Velma and Walter Bragg.
Visitation will be 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home of Millen.
