Obituary

Mrs. Mazie Burke Lane Marsh, 83, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

She was born in Jenkins County on August 12, 1938 to Vity and Arnold Burke. She lived in Millen most of her life. She graduated from Jenkins County High School, worked at Thomson Company and Jockey International as a seamstress and trainer.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, Vity and Arnold Burke, by her husband of 26 years, Ivey S. Lane and in later years found joy with Ralph Marsh, her husband for 21 years before his death, her 3 precious sisters, Pearl Williams, Ethel Volf, and Geneva Braswell, 2 beloved brothers, Jerry Burke and Joseph Burke.

Visitation will be Saturday at Rosemary Baptist Church from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am with Dr. Charles Cravey Officiating. Burial will follow at Elam Cemetery.

Survivors include her 2 sons, Ivey L. Lane (Sonya) and Perry S. Lane (Sonya) of Millen; a step-daughter, Faye Lee (William), step-sons, Tracy Marsh (Jamie), Timmy Marsh (Amy), Todd Marsh, Travis Marsh (Joy) all of Statesboro; a precious sister, Linda Sue Zubcecic (Salih) of Austin, TX; many grandchildren and great grandchildren who she loved dearly.

Active Pallbearers will be Wesley Terry, Joey Burke, Terry Burke, Roy Williams, Troy Braswell and Tracy Marsh.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the South Jenkins District 6 firefighters.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Rosemary Baptist Church.
