Mrs. Marsha Chance of Millen, age 74, entered into eternal rest Friday, July 24, 2020 at her residence in Jenkins County.

She was the daughter of Thomas Bryant and Dorthea Sitton. She attended a community college in Berkley, CA then went on further study at the University of Hawaii where she later met her husband of 53 years, Fred Chance.

After moving to Georgia and beginning her family she began working where she spent most of her career in the banking business. She retired from Farmers & Merchants Bank, Sylvania after being a loan officer and Assistant Vice President for 28 years.

She was affectionately known by her family and friends as "Granny Goose". She spent a lot of her time in the kitchen cooking for her family and friends. Always making sure everyone had a birthday cake and always being the perfect host.

Survivors include her husband, Fred Chance; daughter, Jennifer Chance Sanders (Brigham) of Sylvania; sister, Sandra McDaniel of Statesboro; 5 grandchildren, Nikki Bell, Ashlyn Morris; Chance Sanders, Cassie Green, and Connor Sanders; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be 1:00 pm Sunday July 26 at Green Fork Cemetery with Rev. Roland Dann officiating.

Pallbearers will be Bee Jay Rollins, Tony Taylor, Brigham Sanders, Chance Sanders, David Morris, and Buddy Bell.
