Marolyn Bragg Odom, 81, died on May 27 following an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Anna Julia Arnsdorff Bragg and Elmon C. Bragg of Springfield, Georgia.

Born in Springfield, Georgia, Mrs. Odom graduated from Effingham Academy and from Georgia State College for Women with a BS Ed. in 1951. She began teaching school in Millen, Georgia and met Thomas M. Odom. They were married on July 6, 1952. She continued to teach for several years thereafter.

Mrs. Odom was active in community affairs throughout her life. She served as President of Millen Women's Club, Vice-President of Azalea Garden Club, and was an active bridge participant. She was a member of the Millen United Methodist Church since 1951 and was a charter member of the Morning Sunshine Circle.

Mrs. Odom was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, the Thomas M. Odom, brother Cauley Bragg, and sister Elizabeth Zittrouer.

She is survived by four sons; Tommy (Crysty) Odom of Athens, Georgia, Richard Odom of Millen, Georgia, Brian (Lynn) Odom of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Robin (Wendy) Odom of Savannah, Georgia. Surviving grandchildren are Mitchell and Alex Odom, Megan (Great Grandson Carter) and Craig Odom, Brett and Brice Odom, and Christian, Mary Kate, and Matthew Odom.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday at the Millen United Methodist Church with the Revs. Christy Bandy and Bernie Khaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
