Mrs. Margaret Hooks, 77, died Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Select Care Medical Center.

She was born in Anderson, SC, a retired utilities operator for Jockey International, and she was a member of Elam Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley "WA" Hooks and her granddaughter, Caitlyn Baggett.

Visitation will be Friday, September 3, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm with funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm at Elam Baptist Church with Revs. Jody Bryant, Joshua Johnson, and Ben Gay officiating. Burial will follow in the Elam Cemetery.

Survivors include her, 2 sons, Wesley Hooks (Anna) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Stewart Hooks (Kay) of Midville; 3 daughters, Linda Baggett (Ricky) of Millen, Brenda Gay (Ben) of Garfield and Pam Johnson (Trai) of Twin City; 2 brothers, Elton McClellan of Harlem and Marshall McClellan of Augusta; 2 sisters, Nancy Oliver of Sylvania and Elease Counts of Bath, SC; and 6 grandchildren.

Active Pallbearers will be Chris Akridge, Travis Akridge, Ed Akridge, Eric Simms, Trai Johnson, Burt Rocker, Mitchell Johnson, and Rayburn Johnson.
