Obituary

Mrs. Lula Mae Joyner Burke, 85, died Saturday, June 21, 2014.
She was born in Jenkins County, retired from Burke Manufacturing Company, and a member of Big Horse Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carey A. Burke, 2 sons, Jimmie and Donald Burke, and a brother, Henry Joyner.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p. m. Tuesday, at the Big Horse Creek Cemetery with Rev. Andy Allen officiating.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Hope Burke of Millen; 2 grandchildren, Winter Hall and Shannon Burke; 2 great grandchildren, Brannon Burke and Burke Hall; 2 brothers, Ronald (Carolyn) Joyner and Ray Joyner both of Millen; and a sister, Jewell Hodges of Guyton and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
