Mrs. Louise Strickland Sherrod, 88, died Saturday, March 19, 2022 at her home with her family attending.

She was born in Jenkins County, employed at Jockey International then became a homemaker. She was a longtime member of the Millen Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Sherrod, Sr., infant son, Charles James Sherrod, and son, Charles A. Sherrod, Jr.

Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 am until the funeral hour.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a. m. Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the Millen Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Asbury officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery.

She is leaving her children, Sandra Sherrod and Susan Sherrod Edenfield (Tracy) of Millen, Tom Sherrod of Louisville, TN and David Sherrod (Sarah) of Millen; a sister, Eula Bell McMillan of Flowery Branch, Georgia; ten grandchildren, Karol Sherrod Doyle(Rodney), Brandon Sherrod (Jenna), Brittany Durrence (Greg), Molly Edenfield (Austin) and Emily Edenfield, Sydney and Jolie Sherrod, and Henry, Hudson, and Hannah Sherrod; eleven great grandchildren, Kayla and Jase Doyle, Kassey, Kameron, Jaidyn, Dylan, and Gracie Mae Durrence, Ava and Elaine Sherrod, and Hayden and Charlie Rose Farrow. She is also leaving her special children, Kyla Mincey, Krissy Lane, Mary Suggs, Justin Johnson, and her fur baby, Walter.

Active Pallbearers will be Brandon Sherrod, Rodney Doyle, Henry Sherrod, Hudson Sherrod, Justin Johnson, Greg Durrence, Austin Farrow, and Chuck Cates.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Jenkins County K-9-1-1 Rescue, Inc., 642 N. Masonic St., Millen, Ga 30442.
