Obituary

Lillian Ray, 96, passed away peacefully at home on May 5, surrounded by her children.

She was born in Sylvania, Georgia to George (Beaug) Robbins and Agnes Stepherson Robbins. In 1945, she married Rev. Charles Ray and made her home in Millen for the last 60 years. Over her lifetime, she was a telephone operator, bakery assistant, dry cleaning attendant, sales clerk, and seamstress. Besides her family, she had three major loves in her life, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the Atlanta Braves and chocolate.

Survivors include her children, Ann James of Millen, Bobbie (Carl) Burke of Evans, Chuck (Mary Ruth) Ray of Glennville, and Beth Tucker of Millen. 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 18 great great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00 -11:00 am Saturday at the church.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11:00 am at Millen Baptist Church with burial to follow in Millen Cemetery.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Jessie Aaron and Ethelene Young for their extraordinary care during their mother's last days.
