Mrs. Lila Lanier Lively, 91, went to be with her Heavenly Father Friday April 21, 2017 at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro.
She was a native of Jenkins County and had lived most of her life in both Jenkins and Screven counties. She had been a seamstress for White Stag in Sylvania, and was a member of Paynes Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a resident of Brown's Health and Rehab Center for about 4 years.
Mrs. Lila was a devoted mother, and loving wife who was the caregiver for her deceased husband, Herbert Lively during his last years as well as preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Grady Lanier, Woodrow Lanier, Remer Lanier, Ruby Oglesby, Lela Edwards, Maxie Bennett, Bell Clifton, and parents, Remer and Ella Lanier.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour Sunday at 3:00 p. m. Paynes Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. George Durham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Herbert Lively of Statesboro and G. Wayne Lively (Brenda) of Waynesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
