Larry Thomas Adams peacefully went home with Jesus on December 8, 2025. He passed while surrounded by family at his residence.  He was born November 19, 1947 in Emanuel County but lived his entire life in Millen. He graduated Jenkins County High School, and  later married his sweetheart Cheryl McDonald Adams.

He was a faithful member, deacon, choir director and song leader at Green Fork Baptist Church.  He was also a lifelong member of Screven Lodge 248 F & A M, having previously served as Worshipful Master. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and liked nothing better than frying freshly caught fish and hushpuppies.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd P Adams and Myrtice T Adams; brother, Floyd P Adams, Jr; sisters, Floretta Clifton, Nancy Baker, and Barbara Robinson.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Cheryl; sons, Tommy (Gretchen) Adams of St Simons and Chris (Vicki) Adams of Millen; grandchildren, Amber (Tanner) Kent of Sylvania; Rachael (Orrin) Swayze of Atlanta, Hunter (Lauren) Adams of Atlanta and Robert (Amy) Deason of Millen; great grandchildren, Jase Kent, Jane Swayze, Frankie Swayze,  River McLeod, Hance McLeod and Callie McLeod; brothers, Michael (Terri) Adams and David (Paula) Adams all of Millen.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to Stacey Denison for her compassionate care during this time.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
