Kodi James Lovett, 18, born April 12, 2004, to James Brooks Lovett and Rose Mary Lovett entered into rest on Thursday September 15, 2022. Kodi was chaos but loving. He was known for his amazing hugs and that silly little smile on his face. He loved talking on his phone to his family and friends, even at all times of the night. He loved to play his PS4 and fishing. He loved racing and his favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt SR and Jr. He loved being with his family and aggravated them tremendously. He was a junior in Swainsboro high school where he had many friends and almost all the staff as his best friend. He never met a stranger and loved instantly. Kodi made a huge impact on everyone he met.
Kodi leaves behind a host of relatives including, his parents Rose Mary Lovett (Catherine Anne Swingle) of Swainsboro GA, James Brooks Lovett (Amber Shawn Shealy) of Millen GA, his siblings, Levi Chase Lovett and Jasien Brooks Lovett, Madison F., Korey F., Zackary S., Memphis F., Kaylee S., Jacob S., Payton F. all from Swainsboro and Millen GA. He had one niece Ember E. of Millen GA. His grandparents were Brenda Lovett of Millen GA, Bernice Mccoy and Otis Mccoy of Dublin GA, Special Grandparents include Catherine and William Hughes of Orlando FL, and Renelda Shealy-Grindle of McDonough GA. Proceeded in death by Donna Ann Mccoy and Jimmy Lovett SR. He left behind MANY aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
Active Pallbearers serving are his brothers, Levi, Jasien, Korey, Memphis, Zackary, and Jacob.
Honorary pallbearers will included Madison F., Kaylee S, Austin R., Joseph G, and Jay J.
The viewing will be held from 5:30 pm until 8 pm, Thursday at Jesus Saves at 138 Hwy 56 North, Swainsboro, Ga 30401.
The funeral will be held Friday at 10 am Oak Hill Baptist Church, 3405 Oak Hill Church Rd Millen, GA, 30442. Burial will be following in the church cemetery.
The family are requesting in lieu of flowers, to donate to Children Hospital of Georgia, or Donate Life of Georgia. Food donations are appreciated and can be received at Rose Mary Lovett's house 114 Sycamore Ln, Swainsboro, GA) or James Brooks Lovett's house, 366 Woodrum Ln, Millen GA.
