Mr. Kevin W. Myers, age 46, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at his residence after an extended illness.

He was born in Winston Salem, NC, graduate of Ledford High School, had worked for the City of High Point for several years before moving to Millen. He was retired as a heavy equipment operator for Burke County and was a member of Millen Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Emerson Myers; his maternal grandparents, Howard C. Emerson and Mildred Swain; and his paternal grandparents, Eugene F. and Opal K. Myers.

Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday at the Millen Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Gilpen officiating. Burial to follow in the Millen Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Dailey Myers; a son, Casey Alton Myers of Millen; his father, Wayne Myers of Winston Salem, NC; and a sister, Kimberly (Travis) M. Cranford of Thomasville, NC.

Active Pallbearers will be Rex Dailey, Brent Youmans, Phillip Smith, Jeff Hichcock, Randy Watson, and Steven Watson.
