Johnny E. Strickland, 76, died Monday, August 17, 2020.

He was born in Jenkins County, received an engineering degree from Georgia Tech, was a retired engineer for Planters E. M. C., and was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Oak Hill Baptist Church with the service starting at 3:00 pm. Rev. Josh Johnson, Rev. Jeremy Lindsey, and Rev. Butch Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery.

Survivors include his Wife, Charllene Lindsey Strickland; daughter, Renee Hottle (Bruce) of Statesboro; sisters, Dorothy S. Skinner (Marvin) of Millen and Martha S. Dickey of Waynesboro; a grandchild, Claire Hottle.

Pallbearers will be Joe Sasser, Steve Burke, Glenn Bassett, Darrel Lindsey, Emmitt Bullard, Barry Felton, Jett Wilson, and Dean Dailey.
