Mr. Johnnie Humphrey, 88, died Sunday, August 03, 2014.
He was born in Jenkins County, a U. S. Army veteran of World War II where he served with the 82nd Airborne Division, a retired Staff Manager for Independent Life Insurance Company, and a member of Millen Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bragg Humphrey.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Millen Cemetery with Dr. Maurice Crowder officiating.
Survivors include his 2 sisters, Erline H. Ward of Savannah and Eloise H. Coursey of Ackworth; 2 brothers, Will R. "Doagie" Humphrey of Sylvania and Eugene Humphrey of Waynesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
