Obituary

Mr. John F. "Johnny" Johnson, age 75, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family and friends on March 30, 2020.

Johnny was born in Thrift, GA in Jenkins County on July 31, 1944. He moved to Augusta after graduation and worked for Proctor and Gamble among other companies before deciding to come home to Millen.

Johnny made a 40 year career at the Bank of Millen (now Regions Bank). After Retirement he enjoyed gardening, and farming with his wife Mary Ann and taking care of all their animals.

Johnny was a lifetime member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a jack of all trades and master of all. He was always there for his family and friends.

He was precede in death by his mother, Claudia J. and father, Miley B. Johnson, and brother, David L. Johnson.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p. m. until 7:00 p. m. at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Johnson Family Cemetery, 4583 Johnson Rd. South with Rev. Randy Graham officiating.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 48 years, Mary Ann Johnson; children, Rhonda J. Stokes (Ron) of Charlotte, NC and Hilton Head, SC; Scott W. Johnson (Amanda) of Millen; Sharon E. Johnson of Millen; granddaughter, Tiffany L. Johnson of Millen; great granddaughter, Elaina G. Johnson, his beloved four legged son, Bruiser Johnson and sister, Jo Anne Pleming of Old Hickory, TN.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Justin Johnson, Charles Johnson, Bill Hall, Allen McCurdy, Jamie Nesbitt, Lee Williams, Marty Williams, Anthony Cowart, Dorsey Boatright, Willie Frazier, Raymond Blackburn, Randy Blackburn, Mitchell Johnson, Leonard Moxley, Mike Hall, Chuck Kreitner, Joe Dymond, Jeff Angus, Kirk Rocker, Lamar Dunum, and Jimmy Brinson.
