Joel L. Waters, 82 of Ellabell, GA passed away on August 25, 2024.

Joel was born in Savannah, proudly served in the military (U.S. Army) from 1961 to 1964, and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 35 years.

He is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Nora Newsome from Four Points, mother and father, Barney and Mary Newsome Waters.

Survivors include: Wife, Linda Waters; Sons: David (Cathy) of Savannah, Georgia, Kenneth (Stella) of Richmond Hill, Georgia; Step-daughter, Christyna Blow of Claxton, Georgia; Grandchildren: Justin (Andrea), Darron (Corrie), Rachel, William, Nora, Justin (Danielle), Mindy (Matt), Ashley (Dylan) and 8 wonderful great-grandchildren and his beloved dog: Molly.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Elam Baptist Cemetery in Millen, Georgia.
