Joe Wiggins, age 89, died Thursday, March 4, 2021 at his residence in Sylvania.

He was a native of Jenkins County, a retired Construction Contractor, and a Baptist.

Joe loved working with wood, making music, fishing and hunting.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday at Sardis Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Dent Wiggins officiating.

Pallbearers are Wayne Kelly, Craig Thompson, Stewart Thompson, Drake Thompson, Chase Thompson, and Slate Thompson.

Survivors include his wife, Julie Robinson Wiggins; children, 2 daughters, Donna Beasley (Jim) and Debra Kelly (Wayne) of Sylvania; 2 grandchildren, Trista Forehand (Eric) and Stewart Thompson (Jill); great grandchildren, Landon Forehand, Chase Thompson (Addie), Drake Thompson, and Slate Thompson; a great great grandchild, Beckham Thompson; 4 sisters, Annette Blocker of Goose Creek, SC, Glenda Dailey of Leesville, SC, Claudia Watson of Charleston, SC, and Dollie Welch of Garland, TX; 3 brothers, Jimmy Wiggins (Vivian) of Sylvania, H. G. Wiggins, and Gene Wiggins (Bonnie) of Millen.
