Joe C. Reeves, Jr., age 66, died Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro.

He was born in Jenkins County, a retired aircraft mechanic with the U. S. Air Force, retired Civil Service contractor for Warner Robins Air Force Base, a member of the Sportsman's Club and the Millen United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a. m. Tuesday at Millen United Methodist Church with Revs. David Willette and Robert Driggers officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery with full military honors.

Survivors include his wife, Paula W. Reeves of Swainsboro; 3 sons, Brandon Reeves and Brad Reeves of Warner Robins, and Joey (Christy) Reeves of Statesboro; 2 sisters, Elizabeth (Jerry) Small of Millen and Sandra (Johnny) Canady of Loganville; 2 brothers, David (JoAnn) Reeves of Millen and Richard Reeves of Henderson, NV; a granddaughter, Amy Reeves; 2 step-children, Michelle Rountree of Summertown and Johnathan Bailes of Vienna, VA; and 2 step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bill Thorne Jr., Josh Reeves, Johnathan Reeves, Thomas Selders, Alton Reynolds, and Terry Reynolds.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. Monday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
