Millen, Ga. – Jewell Edward Williams, age 73, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro.

He was a native of Tennille, GA, a veteran of the U. S. Navy, a Fire Tech for Southern Company, and a member of West Millen Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday at West Millen Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Davis Williams; 4 daughters, Tammy Flakes (Tim) of Waynesboro, Edna Howard (David) of Decatur, TN, Nikki Williams, and Kristin Williams of Millen; a son, Jewell E. Williams, Jr. (Tara) of Waynesboro; a sister, Shirley Ann Pulliam (Gene) of Sandersville; 2 brothers, Billy Gene Bridges (Judy) of Harlem and Alfred Williams (Janice) of Tennille; and 6 grandchildren.
