Jesse Johnson Jr. crossed over to see the Lord Jesus and his loved ones in heaven on June 25, 2022. He was born in Millen, GA on October 23, 1941. A lifelong farmer, welder, and hunting preserve owner as well as a dedicated member of Deep Creek Free Will Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his son Randy (Jesse Randall Johnson), daughter in law (Heidi Johnson) and grandchild (Mallory Johnson).

Survivors include his wife Shirley Johnson with 59 years of marriage to show his love and dedication to our family. Son, Ronnie (Racheal) Johnson of Millen, a sister, Betty Echols of Millen.  He will be loved and remembered by his son (Ronnie), grandchildren (Blake, Kade, and Marcus) as "Papa", and Niece (Amy) as "Unk".  Great grandchildren Bentley, Sophie and Cason.  Papa/Unk was always a hardworking farmer, friend to everyone, and loved to hunt quail where he really enjoyed growing his own bobwhite quail to release and hunt with his personal trained bird dogs. He also loved to spend time with family and friends with a quick fishing trip to the Ogeechee River.  Papa did many other occupations including a plant supervisor at Burke Manufacturing, carpentry, and his love for welding which has been passed down to his children and grandchildren as a great skill.

Deep Creek will host visitation on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 11:00 am with Rev. Butch Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Bennett Family Cemetery.

Active Pall Bearers will be his grandchildren (Blake, Kade, and Marcus), and our loved Lee Johnson, Taylor Brinson, and Lester Brinson.
