Mrs. Jeanette Hooks Weathersby,87, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2022  in Loganville, Georgia with family by her side following an extended illness.

She was born in Jenkins County and lived all of her life there until recently.  She retired from Jenkins County Hospital where she worked for many years.  She was a member of Elam Baptist Church.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her loving husband Horace Weathersby, Jr., parents Allen and Nettie Hooks;  infant son; her brothers Harold Hooks, Damon Hooks, Doy Hooks and Joel Hooks, Sr.

Visitation will be at 10:00 am Saturday at Elam Baptist Church with funeral service following at 11:00 a. m. with Rev. John Paul Hearn officiating. Burial will follow in the Elam Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include her children Horace (Kathy) Weathersby, III of Millen, GA, Michelle (Ellis) Lovett of Loganville, GA, Jon (Correy) Weathersby of Millen, GA,Lee (Becky) Weathersby of Dry Branch, GA, and Wendy (Keith) Ingram of LaFayette, GA; siblings Carolyn (Dwight) Smith of Columbus, GA and Robert (Brenda) Hooks of Alpharetta, GA; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Active Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Donations can be made to a local hospice in her memory.
